Responsebilities

  • Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with Cyber Systems Engineers.
  • Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
  • Make recommendations for hardware and software purchases, coordinate installation, and provide backup recovery.
  • Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
  • Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, tune system performance, install system-wide software, and allocate mass storage space.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of system audits and monitor corrective actions until all are resolved.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 15 years of experience in Systems Administration; or 19 years of Systems Administration experience without a degree.
    US Citizenship required with an active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph, updated within the last 10 years.
  • Preferred Qualifications:Experience in the administration of virtualization environments (e.g., ESX), storage provisioning, and networking of virtual systems.
    DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher.
    Experience with configuring, administering, and maintaining computer systems (e.g., Windows 10, Server 2012R2, Server 2016, Active Directory, RedHat Enterprise Linux).
    Experience writing standard operating procedure documentation and developing cold-start documentation.
    Experience operating virtual environments for servers and workstations.
    Experience with patch deployment and management systems, including patch management status reporting.
    Experience with computer backup and recovery solutions, including recovery status reporting.
    Ability to write scripts (e.g., Batch, Bash, PowerShell, Python) to automate tasks.
